PLEASANT RIDGE ? Interactive promotions agency ePrize has promoted to of its staff members to the new positions of vice president of strategy. Matt Kates and Sara Kowal will co-lead all strategy efforts including all areas of promotion concept development, research, analysis and program development.

Kates joined ePrize in 2005 as a senior director of strategic services, where he was responsible for developing client metrics, promotion strategy and creative concepts for client campaigns. He previously served with Kellogg Co. and with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he managed and consulted on branding and business strategy. He also had roles at The Pillsbury Co., Leo Burnett and S&S Public Relations. Kates earned his bachelor of science in economics from Northwestern University.

Joining ePrize in 2005 as the senior director of strategic services, Kowal has extensive experience in marketing and financial planning and plays an integral role in the development of client programs. She previously served in several key positions at companies including General Motors, Enterprise Customer Management, Deloitte Consulting and Comerica. Kowal earned a master of business administration degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a bachelor?s degree from Bowling Green State University.

Since 1999, ePrize has launched more than 2,300 promotions for 73 of the top 100 brands (as ranked by Advertising Age), including Coca-Cola, American Express, Dell, General Motors, The Gap, Yahoo!, Southwest Airlines, P&G, Disney, and Subway. The company employs 325 worldwide.
