BLOOMFIELD HILLS ? Business networking group Entrepreneur & Investor Exchange opens its fall season of monthly workshop and cocktail mixers by rolling out a new format that could help business people catch the attention of angel and early-stage investors.

The Tuesday, September 13 forum will feature three, 10-minute Showcase Presentations by entrepreneurs seeking capital for new business ventures. A critique by a panel of investors and business plan experts, plus comments from the audience, will follow each presentation. Discussions will be moderated by Mike Brennan, business journalist and editor of MITechNews.Com.

The E&I Exchange helps business people who seek funding for a variety of products and services. Its forums have featured new and creative consumer goods, sports and leisure products, revolutionary medical devices, innovative business services, even a gold mine and opportunities to invest in low-budget, internationally distributed movies.

?We introduce our audiences to some fascinating concepts that offer potentially high rates of return for relatively modest levels of investment,? according to executive director Charles F. (Fritz) Spademan. ?Sometimes a business plan that is incomplete or poorly displayed can limit a presentation?s appeal. Our new format aims to help identify where business plans need strengthening, and to provide entrepreneurs with a dress rehearsal for subsequent presentations to investors.?

The E&I Exchange meets from 5-8 p.m. at the Fox and Hounds restaurant, Woodward at Long Lake Road in Bloomfield Hills. Appetizer and dessert trays are included. It costs $25 to attend, or $20 if you are an Exchange member. If you book a reservation, either over the phone or the Internet, E&I knocks $5 off the admission price.

For information and reservations, or to request your own Showcase Presentation, call the E&I Exchange at (248) 922-9595 or Madison Communications at (734) 426-2130. To register from the web site, click on EntrepreneurInvestorExchance.Com
