ANN ARBOR ? The Great Lakes Digital: Photoshop Soup2Nuts 2.0 Conference, scheduled for June 24-25, will feature Richard Newman, the national education coordinator for Calumet Photographic, whose portfolio includes documentation of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989.
The conference will be held at the Washtenaw Community College and include seminars and workshops hosted by such names as Michael Grecco, Dan Burkholder, Jerry Uelsmann, Maggie Taylor, and Thomas Knoll, the creator of Adobe Photoshop.
Prices range from $250 for the two-day conference with additional professional workshops for $150, to novice workshops for $50 and group presentations for $25. Proceeds of the event benefit scholarship funds for two educational institutions; Summers-Knoll School and Washtenaw Community College.
