GRAND RAPIDS ? eSecurity specialist CA, formerly Computer Associates, has created an official presence in West Michigan by basing a new staff member and another recently promoted in the greater Grand Rapids area.
Ken Reahm has joined CA as Sales Executive for Western Michigan, covering the full breadth of CA products. In that role, Reahm will be managing CA channel partners, calling on prospects and serving clients from the Indiana border to Northern Michigan.
CA also promoted Ben Scheerer to Product Marketing Manager, Distributed Database Products. In his new role, Scheerer will help to deliver CA?s message about its expertise in data and database infrastructure management. Scheerer previously worked with CA on highly-targeted marketing campaigns, spoke at numerous IT industry engagements across North America, published trade articles, held memberships in trade related organizations, and participated as a panel expert for data-related topics.
“With Ben’s promotion, and Ken’s addition to the CA Michigan team, at this critical juncture in our continuing expansion in Michigan, we demonstrate our ongoing dedication to the state, particularly the Western sector,” said Mark Shantz, Manager for CA’s Michigan operation.

Scheerer is a Grand Rapids resident, while Reahm lives in Wayland, half way between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. Both are graduates of Western Michigan University, with degrees in Business Administration.
