PONTIAC The deadline to nominate candidates for the Automation Alley Technology Awards is July 30. The awards will be given during Automation Alleys Fourth Annual Tech Gala on Sept. 10 at the Detroit Science Center. Alley Consortium members and all other members of the business community are eligible to enter.
Award categories include: Legend CEO (Lifetime Achievement Award), CEO of the Year, CIO of the Year, Emerging Technology Company of the Year, Automation Alley Member of the Year, Technology Company of the Year and the Educational Program of the Year. Mitechnews.Com was the 2001 winner of the Emerging Technology Company of the Year.
“The Awards Gala allows the Alley to recognize those individuals and companies making a significant impact on technological advancements in Southeast Michigan,” said Ken Rogers, executive director of Automation Alley. “The Gala is our way of saying thank you on behalf of the entire region.”
Award recipients are selected by a panel of Automation Alley members and will be announced at the Gala. The nomination deadline is July 30.
“As the Alley’s expansion has grown to include eight counties, it is important for the Alley family to celebrate not only our successes, but also the regional technology leaders who help pave the way,” Rogers said.
