MASON – Internationally renowned writer, commentator, and political analyst Jack Lessenberry, will headline a wide-ranging program of experts at the Michigan Energy Fair June 24 and 25 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds outside Lansing.

As a special guest speaker, Lessenberry will be featured at noon June 25 at the Michigan Energy Fair and the Sustainable Living Summit.  Locally, Lessenberry is known as head of the journalism faculty at Wayne State University and WUOM-FM’s senior political analyst where he delivers daily essays and commentary on important Michigan issues.

This year, The Michigan Energy Fair, hosted by the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association, hopes to attract thousands of visitors from around the Great Lakes to engage with more than 100 exhibitors, hands-on activities, alternative vehicle car show, free workshops, prizes, local food and music. The event is open to the public.

Renewable energy, energy efficiency, emergency preparedness, and sustainability come together to make this the most comprehensive fair yet. This year’s theme ‘Connect Here’ is the focus to network with industry leaders and learn about sustainable lifestyles, create sustainable homes, businesses, and communities.

This year GLREA celebrates three great events at one venue. The combination of the Michigan Energy Fair, The Sustainable Living Summit 2016, and the Great Lakes Emergency Preparedness Expo, all in one place, for one weekend, could be the most fun, educational and family friendly event you will attend all year.
