GRAND RAPIDS – Entrepreneurs who aren’t that tech savvy, but need to know how to speak geek to application developers have a chance to learn how to do that July 28 at a Mobile App Bootcamp scheduled for Grand Valley State University.
The workshop is co-hosted by the Michigan Small Business Development Center, the Mobile Technology Association of Michigan and Logic Solutions. “From Concept to Reality: Learn How to Work With a Mobile App Developer To Make It Happen,” takes place from 8 am to 1 pm.
Speakers for the event will include:
Al Carpinelli, Business Development Manager for Logic Solutions
Angela Kujava, Director of Innovation for Logic Solutions
Matt Sarkesian, Chief Technology Officer for Logic Solutions
Dante Villarreal, Regional Director of West Michigan Region SBDC
Leo Dion, CEO, Bright Digit for Mobile Technology Association of Michigan
The workshop will focus on developer basics (understanding app developers and how to work with them to get what you want), creating a value proposition, defining app functionalities, setting priorities, and learning to wire-frame your concept.
“As technology advances and continues to play an integral part of entrepreneurship, it is allowing entrepreneurs an additional outlet to grow their business. There is data showing that a majority of entrepreneurs in Michigan want to make use of mobile/wireless technologies, but they often run into challenges due to their lack of experience creating mobile applications,” said Keith Brophy, CEO and State Director of the Michigan SBDC.
“This workshop is designed to help them overcome that challenge by gaining the expertise needed to work with an outside development firm, hire the tech staff needed, or to identify a suitable technical co-founder. We encourage any entrepreneur with a great idea involving mobile/wireless technologies to take part in this Bootcamp. Participants will walk away with a plan that can help them move forward.”
The $50 registration fee includes all required materials, a boxed lunch, and a snack. Registration is limited to 40 people and will close on July 22nd. You can register at http://dld.bz/eBKQv
