NOVI – ITC Michigan President Simon Whitelocke provides a summary of what ITC-Holdings did to strengthen the power GRID in Michigan during 2022 and the electricity transmission company’s plans to strengthen the GRID in 2023.

In this video interview, Whitelocke answers the following questions:

Would you mind kicking things off by reminding our viewers who ITC is and what your company’s role is within the energy industry?

You’ve been on with us a few times this year. Early on we talked about whether the US is ready for renewable energy. It’s been almost a year since that conversation. Are we more ready now than we were then?

What do you see as the benefits for Michigan as a result of these Long-Range Transmission Plan investments?

There has been talk about electricity shortages as we continue to retire coal plants at such a quick pace. I know ITC is not in the business of generation, but big picture what is the economic outlook for energy next year?

What are you seeing and hearing as it relates to making sure businesses will continue to have their energy needs met?

I saw on ITC’s social media that your team held an “EV Day” at your offices in Novi. Can you tell me more about that? How about you, Simon? Do you own an EV?
