SOUTHFIELD – Lawrence Technological University has consolidated its research and economic development activities into a new division. The university’s sponsored research effort has grown from less than $1 million a year a decade ago to nearly $10 million a year today, with research funding coming from both industry and government agencies like the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.

Nabil Grace, LTU’s longtime dean of the College of Engineering, has taken the helm at the new division, and now is LTU’s Senior Vice President of Research and Economic Development. LTU President Tarek Sobh and Grace join MITech.tv’s Matt Roush to share details of the expanded research efforts.
