BRIGHTON – One of the big problems Electric Vehicle users face outside the home is finding a charging station that works. DSM Energy Solutions has found a solution – a mobile charging station powered by propane, solar or natural gas – that goes to where the EVs are outside restaurants and malls, at ports, and even for roadside service.
DSM Energy Solutions is co-owned by Stevan Bratic, David Grigsby and Monica Alexander. DSM are the initials of their respective given names. Also helping DSM is consultant Michael MacDonald, a former Michigan state senator.
DSM has been talking to a lot of people at the state, including the Michigan Economic Development Corp., the Michigan Public Service Commission, to name a few. DSM hopes to win $50 million in grants to fully develop the products and it is hoped to bring the manufacturing back from China to Michigan to create good paying jobs.
Bratic is in China now to discuss with his Chinese partners how they can do the manufacturing work in Michigan, since President-elect Trump plans to impose huge tariffs on China that could double prices for DSM and any other companies in Michigan that work with Chinese manufacturers.
In this video interview, Bratic and his partners provide all the details on what they are doing, how it would help Michigan and what it would mean for Gov. Whitmer’s hope of getting a million EVs on the road in the state by the end of this decade.
