SOUTHFIELD – 123NET announced it is incorporating Adtran Mosaic platform to enhance its ultra-fast-high-speed fiber broadband services across Michigan.

Adtran maximizes the potential of 123NET’s Fiber to offer stable broadband and Whole-Home Wi-Fi services to customers. 123NET, which already operates the best-connected fiber network in Michigan, recently announced two major projects: participation in an $87.5M middle mile project better linking Michigan to Chicago’s connectivity hub, and a $65M project to improve broadband access across Allegan County.

“For over two decades, 123NET has entrusted Michigan businesses to the proven reliability and quality of the Adtran platform,” said Chuck Irvin, Executive Vice President at 123NET. “We will be putting their gear to work right away in several mission critical applications. These include: dense housing units, urban neighborhoods, and rural deployments like 123NET’s Allegan County-Wide Broadband Project.”

Before selecting Adtran, 123NET put many of the industry’s frontrunners to the test in both simulated and real-world conditions. “It became clear that Adtran’s gear was the absolute best fit for our network and seamlessly integrated with our existing support systems,” Irvin said. “123NET has a mission to make Michigan the best connected on the planet – this partnership with Adtran brings us another step closer.”

Adtran’s platform offers innovative and industry-leading features that will benefit 123NET’s Business and Residential Customers. The platform allows for end-to-end insight and control, allowing 123NET to monitor traffic and network performance.

“With Mosaic’s easy scalability, 123NET has a highly efficient and sustainable route to rolling out exceptional ultra-fast services, transforming how Michigan communities live and work,” said John Scherzinger, GM of Americas sales at Adtran. “Now, with Adtran software, even more Michiganders can leverage high-speed connectivity and more fully participate in our increasingly digitized society.”
