TROY – Automation Alley has published the second playbook of the 2024 Integr8 Roundtable Series. The new digital playbook focuses on preparing a workforce for the needs of Industry 4.0 based on insights gathered at the Jan. 24 roundtable discussion, which featured participants representing technology, manufacturing, government and academia sectors.
“The way companies make products is changing faster than ever. Companies are introducing even more sophisticated robots, incorporating AI and generative AI into the manufacturing process and are introducing new assembly line concepts,” said Tom Kelly, Executive Director and CEO of Automation Alley.
“As technology continues to advance, our current workforce needs to be able to evolve with it. Businesses and workers are facing a new level of technological sophistication, calling for the development of new skills and professional specialties that didn’t exist before. This playbook outlines the workforce challenges and provides guidance for how companies can overcome them.” Kelly joins Matt Roush and Mike Brennan on MITech TV to provide the backstory and the plan for 2024.
