ANN ARBOR – Zorp Video is an innovation-driven platform that helps organizations capture, manage, and search internal video knowledge. We turn workplace know-how into searchable, shareable insights—accelerating innovation across manufacturing, engineering, and industrial sectors.

We’re building a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that integrates AI for transcription, search, and chat retrieval. The project demonstrates how video knowledge capture can become searchable through AI-driven automation. You’ll work from our existing Figma prototype and introductory video to bring this proof of concept to life.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an MVP demonstrating: upload → AI transcribe → store → search → playback.
  • Integrate OpenAI Whisper (or similar) for video-to-text transcription.
  • Implement AI semantic search using embeddings or vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate).
  • Build a chat interface for AI-assisted retrieval of video knowledge.
  • Create a lightweight dashboard UI (React / Next.js / Streamlit).
  • Deploy on AWS, Firebase, or Vercel; provide setup documentation.

Ideal Skills

  • Frontend: React / Next.js / Streamlit
  • Backend: Python (FastAPI / Flask) or Node.js
  • AI Integration: OpenAI APIs, Whisper, LangChain, or LlamaIndex
  • Cloud Deployment: AWS, Firebase, or Vercel
  • Video Processing: FFmpeg or equivalent
  • Bonus: Vector database integration (Pinecone, FAISS)

Deliverables

  1. Functional AI-integrated MVP demo
  2. Deployment documentation and basic setup guide
  3. 2-minute walkthrough screen recording for presentations

Timeline: ~3 months expected Compensation: $19.04–$25/hr (estimated total around $2,500 based on agreed hours)
