NOVI – Linda H. Blair has succeeded Joseph L. Welch as president and CEO of ITC Holdings Corp. In her new role, Blair is responsible for the strategic vision and overall business operation of ITC and its subsidiaries.
Blair has served in several leadership roles with ITC since the company’s inception in 2003 including most recently as chief business unit officer for ITC Holdings, where she had operational responsibilities for all four of ITC’s operating subsidiaries. Prior to that, Blair served as president of ITC Michigan and executive vice president of regulatory and business unit strategy and was a founding member of the ITC team. Previously Blair was manager of transmission policy and business planning at DTE Energy, before the company’s spin off of ITC.
Blair’s extensive experience in the electric transmission industry positions ITC for long-term success, maintaining the company’s focus on leadership development, strategic growth and efforts to modernize the transmission grid across its seven-state footprint.
Blair earned her MBA and bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs Management from Michigan State University. She serves on the board of The Michigan Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Trustees for Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. She is a past member of the Department of Energy’s Electricity Advisory Committee (EAC), the EAC’s Transmission Subcommittee, past chair of The Heat and Warmth Fund, THAW, and past President of the Novi Parks Foundation.
