DETROIT – Creative Entrepreneurs now have a chance to take a short business course that will tech them how to get their products noticed, marketed and commercialized.

Andrea Rosenfeld, founder and CEO of Detroit Art & Business Institute, will conduct the eight-week business course. Classes will run 6 to 8 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays beginning February 21 at the Detroit Design Center Showroom in Detroit.

A professional mixed-media artist with a wholesale business background, Rosenfeld created the course after witnessing talented artists and designers throughout the community struggle with the business aspects of getting their products noticed, marketed and generating sales. Rosenfeld is the former director of merchandising and operations for the iconic fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi. This is the fifth time the artist has offered the course in Michigan.

“In addition to artists searching for small business skills education, there are many creative people in non-art careers who want to also make money from their craft and need help navigating the art business landscape,” said Rosenfeld. “I guide my students along their entrepreneurial journey by supplying the tools and knowledge necessary to build successful and strong businesses, profitably price their products, market and promote themselves and find their ideal clients.” Legalities of business practices are also discussed during the course, along with solutions for achieving healthy financials leading to sustained growth.

Those wishing to sign up for the classes should visit www.thedabi.com, email [email protected] or call 732-705-1567. The price of the eight-week course is $325.
