SOUTHFIELD ? Tom Heagarty, a CISSP and CISA certificates holder, will discuss successful security monitoring programs in large environments, the November 15 program for Motor City ISSA.

Deploying the right security technology in the right places is tricky enough – building the infrastructure to support that technology and get the most out of it is a formidable challenge. Detecting and responding to intrusions requires a combination of technology, process and skilled people. In this presentation, Heagarty will look at successful security monitoring programs in large environments including technology selection, device monitoring and management, controls and processes.

Heagarty is a Security Engineer in the Enterprise Sales Team at SecureWorks. He holds the CISSP and CISA certifications and has over 25 years in the physical and information security industry. Heagarty most recently owned his own IT Security Consultancy in Northern Arizona. He is currently located in Lexington, Kentucky, on his horse farm with his wife Diana, a professional artist. Some life, huh?
