ANN ARBOR – We made a mistake on the date for the January Motor City ISSA chapter meeting. The meeting date is Jan. 21 in Ann Arbor at the Marriott, but the RSVP date is Jan. 14. Topics include a review of 2008 Information Security and Trends. Our apologies for this error.
Speakers include: Steve Hill – President, ISSA Motor City Chapter and Matt Carpenter, Instructor, Hacker Techniques, Exploits, and Incident Handling.
Carpenter is a senior security analyst for Intelguardians. Matthew teaches SANS Track 4, �??Hacker Techniques, Exploits and Incident Handling. Matthew’s expertise includes hacker attacks and defenses, reverse engineering and security vulnerability research. Matthew’s background is in telecommunications and network and server security. Matthew has spoken at defcon Security Conference, the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and Fortune 500 corporations and has released several open-source security research tools.
