DETROIT – The Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation has announced its sixth annual university scholarship, research grant and laptop grant program, aimed at encouraging deserving female students to pursue information technology and technical careers. Deadline for submission is Feb. 27.
The 2009 competition commences immediately; and is open to women, of all ages, pursuing technology degrees and certifications at the college level.
The program covers one high school senior ($20,000), one undergraduate-level ($15,000) and one graduate-level student ($15,000), enrolled in technology program college/university courses for the 2009/2010 academic year. In addition, there is a graduate or undergraduate research grant ($3,000) and three laptop/printer combination grants given to deserving students. The total value of these scholarships and grants is $60,000. Deadline for submission of scholarship and grant applications is Feb. 27.
