TROY ? Walsh College has named Troy resident Ronda Johnson, CFRE, as its new Vice President, Chief Development Officer. She will lead the College?s annual fund, special events and major gifts, and will manage the Walsh College Foundation Board of Directors.
?Ronda has assisted our College and the Walsh College Foundation as a consultant for the past few months, and has developed excellent processes to enhance our fundraising potential,? said Walsh College President Keith Pretty, to whom she reports.
Johnson?s 26 years of fundraising experience spans education, health care, the arts and consulting in Texas, Ohio, and Michigan. She has served as vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement for the Texas Tech University System and chief operating officer of the Texas Tech University Foundation, Inc.; vice president of development for the University of Cincinnati and executive director of the University of Cincinnati Foundation; and vice president of the Karmanos Cancer Institute Foundation at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit. While in Houston she was president of the central division of a national fundraising consulting firm, and was director of development for the Houston Symphony Orchestra and The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston.
Johnson has a bachelor of science degree from The University of Texas at Austin, an MBA degree from Houston Baptist University, and is designated a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) by the American Association of Fundraising Professionals. She is immediate past chair of the International Association of Fundraising Professionals Foundation for Philanthropy.
