BLOOMFIELD HILLS Well known and highly visible investor Sam Valenti has joined forces with William Goldsmith to to meet the growing demand for hedge fund investments in Michigan.
Goldsmith is co-founder of Nantucket Multi Managers and Nantucket Capital Management; Valenti founded Valenti Capital. Both companies are in Bloomfield Hills.
Goldsmith’s Nantucket entities are responsible for consulting or directing approximately $200 million of hedge investments. Valenti Capital manages several hundred million dollars in hedge funds and private equity funds for select families, institutions, and foundations. Valenti is also President of Masco Capital Corporation, a subsidiary of the Fortune 500 manufacturer of homebuilding and home improvement products with $10 billion in sales.
Hedge funds are flexible in their investment options (can use short selling, leverage, derivatives such as puts, calls, options, futures.)
