ANN ARBOR ? The University of Michigan?s Ken Nisbet and Venture Capitalist Kurt Riegger will lead the Ann Arbor IT Zone in 2005 with the help of a re-elected board.
Nisbet, executive director of the University of Michigan’s Office of Technology Transfer, was elected president, while Riegger, venture partner of North Coast Technology Investors, LP, will serve as vice president. IT Zone Treasurer is Gary Hessenaur, president of Hessenaur & Associates, C.P.A., P.C.; secretary is Steve Klein, entrepreneurial business advisor and past president of the IT Zone; and backup secretary is Richard Sheridan, president of Menlo Innovations.
Board members, all re-elected, include Jim Adox, venture capital investor; Michael Cole, vice president, technology industry group, Bank of Ann Arbor; Larry Eiler, chairman of Eiler Communications; Larry Freed, president and CEO of ForeSee Results; Farnam Jahanian, founder and chairman of Arbor Networks; Sabrina Keeley, president of the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce; Bhushan Kulkarni, president and CEO of GDI Infotech; Barb Nanzig, chief of staff for Internet2; Jim Price, president and co-founder of CompanyCrafters; Chuck Salley, angel investor and IT Zone past president; and Kent Talcott, retired partner of Dykema Gossett,PLLC.
The IT Zone offers an educational series, Hi-Tech Tuesdays, IT Forums and Boot Camp, to help educate, retain and attract talent to Ann Arbor and the surrounding region.
