DETROIT – The Detroit Chapter of TiE, in its continuing quest for Talent, Ideas and Enterprises, announced Wednesday the TiEQuest 2011 Business Venture Competition. The submission deadline for executive summaries is June 12.
TiEQuest is an initiative by the Global TiE organization to create and present a comprehensive framework for Business Venture Competitions integrated with mentoring and investment flows to attract and nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs across TiE’s Global Network. The competition is July 16.
The objectives of TiEQuest are to:
? Create a pool of entrepreneurial talent
? Strengthen the ecosystem of entrepreneurship
? Increase probability of success
? Raise the profile of innovation and entrepreneurship
? Link entrepreneurs to mentors and investors aiming for longer term relationship building with committed BVC evangelists
?For the first time, we are bringing to bear the resources of the Global TiE network to the entrepreneurs in this region? said Rupesh Srivastava, president of TiE Detroit.
TiEQuest is open to all current and aspiring entrepreneurs, providing a strong start to the winners and enhancing the probability of success in their ventures. Judges and mentors for TiEQuest are successful entrepreneurs and experienced investors/fund managers who will provide a very high level of mentoring to the contestants at no cost.
Winners will be provided in-kind services and support from TiEQuest?s vast network of in-kind sponsors. These free services include intellectual property consultation, legal and patent services, financial management, and IT advice. TiEQuest maintains and monitors the progress of its contestants and provides support even after the competition concludes.
The submission deadline for the executive summary is May 15. Contestants can register and submit their entries at TiEQuestDetroit.MyReviewRoom.Com
