DETROIT ? Motor City Connect, a group of 300 business and technology professionals, is working with the Red Cross to collect unused blankets, donate cash and give blood to the needy during the Holiday season.
Group founder Terry Bean said he?s challenged everyone in his group to include a note on every email they send encouraging all the receipients to step up.
?December always brings shortages for our blood supply – people are busy with other things. We aim to change that.? he wrote his members. ?Together, we will be the catalyst of good things happening in our community. Our small band of 300 MCCers can start this snowball rolling.?
