ANN ARBOR – The quarterly event Sprouts, co-sponsored by the Ann Arbor IT Zone, MichBio and Arboretum Ventures, will highlight The Future of Suppliers to the Pharma/Biotech Industry June 2 at the Ann Arbor IT Zone.

The keynote speaker will be Randal Charlton, CEO of Asterand, the Detroit-based human tissue bank that provides research material to the world’s leading drug discovery companies. Charlton’s career has been spent developing new technology in a business environment. Prior to Asterand, he worked for genetics companies in Europe as well as technology companies in the United States.

The featured company is Proteos, a Kalamazoo-based company that provides both consulting services and small-scale protein production to pharmaceutical industry customers. CEO Tom Dammer will provide an overview.

Sprouts begins at 4:30 p.m. with networking and presentation at 5 p.m. This program is free to all attendees.
