ANN ARBOR ? After a decade with our old look based on my two decades working in newspapers, our new one will be much more interactive allowing our readers to share content with their social networks. What?s more, the new MITechNews.Com also will give our growing list of content partners much higher visibility among our rapidly expanding audience, which in March viewed nearly 200,000 pages. We’re just waiting for the Internet to switch our ULR from the old server to the new.

But the website facelift is only the first of many upgrades for MITechNews.Com this year. We?ll be rapidly expanding our audio podcast channels, including offering one with our latest content partner, the Engineering Society of Detroit. Matt Roush, the communications director and former WWJ Technology Report Editor, will be joining me in a new show we?re calling Michigan Technology Update.

We?ll also be offering many of our other content partners and sponsors the opportunity to work with us developing a wide range of audio content. Later in the year, we?ll expand into video programming. Plus we have some talks underway right now that will give us higher visibility in the terrestrial broadcast world with soon-to-be-announced radio and TV partners.

Our goal is to make MITechNews.Com THE portal site for all things technology and technology entrepreneur in Southeast Michigan?and then the rest of the state.

As always, we?re constantly looking for great stories to feature. If you have one, email me at [email protected]

Mike Brennan, Editor and Publisher, MITechNews.Com.
