ANN ARBOR ? Network Downtown?s March meeting will return to Babs Underground Lounge on March 10, where some 80 people gathered in February to network and enjoy the culture of Ann Arbor.
The entrance to this out of the way club ? very out of the way ? can be found between the Firefly Club and the Three Chairs furniture store. Host Ron Suarez and guest DJ?s will be spinning jazzy downtempo music when the event kicks off at 6 p.m.
Arrive at 6 pm sharp for food from Detroit by Design 4 Star Culinaire. Register and pay $10 online by March 8 to guarantee food privileges. Otherwise, just stop in and get a drink from the cash bar.
Suarez, who used to do a 5-minute Digital Culture update on the former Michigan Technology News Today Radio Show, will soon be producing a similar audio broadcast on Mitechnews.Com. The new wrinkle will be the technology used. Suarez will Podcast his remarks to iPod users, as Mitechnews.Com resumes webcasting through this rapidly emerging and popular new technology.
Podcasts will start in April.
