PONTIAC – NetCom continues to grow, this time by buying GigaTrans, a provider of wireless broadband service. Terms were not announced Monday.
In a press release issued Monday, NetCom CEO Frank Scaramuzzino said the acquisition will enhance NetComs offerings through its Michtel Communications and MetroCell communications subsidiaries, and provide a launch pad for next generation IP services.
Building the depth of our communications offerings to business is a key component of our strategy for long-term growth, Scaramuzzino said. With the addition of GigaTrans wireless services, our solution set of voice, data, wireless and cellular leads the marketplace.
GigaTrans delivers integrated wireless solutions for voice and data applications through a comprehensive facilities based IP network that is deployed from the top of local landmarks such as the Fisher Building, Top of Troy and Southfield Town Center.
GigaTrans next generation wireless services and advanced IP solution engineering complement NetComs plans to grow its business, said Nina Krietemeyer, director of marketing for GigaTrans. In addition, we share a dedication to serving customer needs and establishing long-term customer relationships. We are excited about joining NetCom.
