ANN ARBOR ? David Parsigian, a principal in the law firm of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, will offer up a special program at the next meeting of the Great Lakes Entrepreneur?s Quest ? an Entrepreneur?s Roundtable: Legal Primer for Business Start-ups.
The program is scheduled for Nov. 15 from 6 ? 8 pm at the Michigan Information Technology Center in Ann Arbor.
Parsigian is a specialist in venture capital financing and representation of technology-based companies. He will cover four key legal topics entrepreneurs must consider when starting new companies:
The business structure and entity formation;
The legal obligations to investors;
Construction of stock option incentives for employees;
Intellectual property management and protection.
Parsigian has extensive experience in advising technology businesses with respect to locating sources of capital and structuring financings ranging from seed capital to initial public offerings. His legal expertise includes general corporate and securities law and technology licensing. He is the head of the firm?s High-Technology Ventures Practice Group and a deputy head of the firm?s Business and Finance Practice Group.
