LANSING ? The Third Annual Technology Summit at the Lansing Center this week expects not only record crowds, but also Gov. Jennifer Granholm and first gentleman Dan Mulhern to share their views on the state of Michigan technology.

The event also will include the Excellence in IT Awards, established to salute Michigan?s IT professionals and managers for their dedication and hard work.

The Summit is scheduled for Oct. 12-13 at the Lansing Center. It begins at 8:45 on Wednesday and runs until 5 p.m. A half day program is scheduled for Thursday, from 8:45 until noon.

Granholm is scheduled to present the IT Excellence Awards at 4 p.m. Wednesday. She?s scheduled to speak at 11:45 earlier in the day.

Mulhern?s remarks are scheduled for 8:45 a.m. Thursday.
