ROCHESTER – To show that observing Earth Day doesn’t need to be all that

serious, nationally known comedian and television personality Dave Coulier will be on hand to emcee and provide laughs when the MI Earth Day Fest hosts its exclusive Preview Party from 7-9 p.m., April 22nd, in the festival’s party tent next to the Rochester Mills Beer Company, in downtown Rochester.

In addition to Coulier, the special “green carpet” celebration will showcase the first annual MI Earth Day Awards honoring many of Michigan?s eco-heroes, an eco chic fashion show by Kika Paprika, and a green silent auction. Short presentations by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, and Michigan?s leading Green Jobs promoter, Deputy Director of the Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth, Andy Levin, will headline a lively program. Billy Brandt and Sarana VerLin will entertain as guests enjoy organic beer, wine and hors d’ouvres provided by Mind, Body & Spirits ? Inspired Dining. Admission is open to the public and tickets are only $25 each.

“The Preview Party is a great way to celebrate Earth Day, get a taste of the festival, and do some serious green networking,” said Steve Rogge of TriGreen Development L3C, producer of the festival. “As our festival headliner, Dr. Kevin Danaher, instructs – it’s time to stop pointing fingers and to start building an alternative to our economic and environmental Titanic. This Party

and the whole festival is about building our own alternative green boat ? a place to celebrate, learn, shop and connect. We invite folks to get their eco-chic on and make it to THE place to see and be seen on Earth Day.”

Throughout the weekend MI Earth Day Fest visitors will enjoy over 200 free green exhibits including Green Living, Renewable Road, Kids? Corner arts and fun, Wellness Way, Farmers’ Row with a farmers? market and petting farm, and even free massages. New this year are several special events including a parade, four-mile trail run, green careers fair and evening-hours Party

for the Planet on both Friday and Saturday nights.
