KALAMAZOO – The RFID Technology Center has formed three sub-committees to help drive RFID innovation to industry-specific projects in life sciences, business development and perishable products.
The committees plan to drive educational initiatives and help identify market opportunities for new RFID projects. To get this job done, the Center is looking for Southwest Michigan companies interested in helping develop each of these initiatives.
The RFID Technology Center’s focus is to explore ways that West Michigan can become a focal point for Radio Frequency Identification by enhancing the growth of existing technology companies as well as starting new ones.
?RFID is a technology which can impact many businesses in very different ways,? said Aric Faber, RFID Technology Center board member and President of BlueGranite. ?By having sub-committees which are focused on specific markets, we can improve our ability to share relevant knowledge and experiences.?
Faber is leading the effort to recruit committee members and will also lead the various committees. The next RFID User Group Meeting will be held at BlueGranite June 30 at 5:30pm.
