GRAND RAPIDS ? Another day, another acquisition for The Iserv Technology Group. This time it was the customers of Dearborn Heights-based Internet Service Provider TodayLink. Terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition, done through ITG?s Iserv Company, is the fourteenth, with more deals pending. Iserv continues on its bold expansion to keep its position as one of the largest independent ISPs in the Midwest.
In the latest deal, Iserv gets TodayLink?s current customer base in Eastern Michigan. TodayLink customers will become part of the Iserv network.
?We are pleased to welcome TodayLink customers into the growing Iserv network,? said Victor Shepherd, chief executive officer of ITG. ?We believe our new customers will feel at home with our unique approach to service and support, and we look forward to introducing them to the many benefits they will enjoy as Iserv subscribers.?
The company most recently acquired the customers of Cooke Technologies, an Illinois?based ISP. In August, Iserv purchased the customers of Chicago-based ISP Caliber Connections Corp. Earlier this month, Iserv completed its first non-ISP acquisition with the purchase of Pinika, a document and process management solutions company based in Grand Rapids.
Since its beginnings in 1995, the Iserv has grown rapidly through acquisition. The company admits to more than 60,000 customers. Iserv?s Tier 1 Data Center has redundant and reliable networks, and engineering and design expertise. Iserv?s service offerings include Internet and Network Access (Dial-up, Accelerated Dial-up, ISDN, DSL, Dedicated Lines, Virtual Private Networks), Data Center Services (Website Hosting, Server Hosting, Application Hosting, Virtual Mail Server), and Website Design and Development.
