PONTIAC The aftermarket telematics system that offers OnStar like safety and convenience features called Guidepoint is catching on rapidly with car dealers nationwide. In the first four months of 2004, Guidepoint expanded its dealer base by 20 percent.

GPSi said Wednesday more than 300 car dealers across the country are actively selling Guidepoint, an aftermarket-installed recovery and convenience system. Now Guidepoint can be found on nearly all vehicle makes at dealerships in key markets throughout the United States.
