ROCHESTER ? Starting Friday, the Green Living Festival will transform downtown Rochester into class rooms where upwards of 50,000 people will learn about the latest trends, products and services in clean, green and sustainable energy.
The Green Living Festival is one of the planet’s largest green events. It will be held in downtown Rochester, Friday, May 13th, through Sunday, May 15th, and will highlight the commitment of local businesses, non-profits and government to a brighter, greener future. Shop. Learn. Celebrate at this free weekend event, offering 250 plus exhibits & presentations, stage & street entertainment, contests and prizes, organic food and drink, free massage and wellness programs, as well as activities and fun for all ages.
Organizers have covered half of the 100,000 square foot festival grounds with large tents, all within a few steps of each other. To help with the walk from parking, the Festival will offer free shuttle service on Saturday and Sunday, running every half hour between a large parking lot located off Rochester Road, south of Rochester, and the festival’s east entrance. Drivers should look for “Shuttle Bus Parking” signs along Rochester Road.
Many other additions have been made to improve visitors’ experience including a smart phone interactive event guide, with GPS-enabled map and schedule. The App for iPhone or other smart phones can be accessed, at no charge, at Expotec.Me
