LANSING – Three top internal staff officials, including the new director for Michigan’s Washington office, were announced Wednesday by Governor-elect Rick Snyder.
Bill McBride was named the director of the Washington office. McBride is a long-time Washington veteran for Michigan politicians, serving as chief of staff to U.S. Rep. Vernon Ehlers (R-Grand Rapids) and former U.S. Rep. Carl Pursell. He was also deputy chief of staff to former Governor John Engler.
Marsha Quebbeman will be director of the executive office’s finance, information technology and office administration. Currently she is department manager of the financial services and procurement office in the Department of Technology, Management and Budget. She was also office manager to Engler.
Norm Saari has been named manager of appointments in the new administration. Saari has been chief of staff to Sen. Jason Allen (R-Traverse City) for the past three years. He also worked in the government affairs offices in both Lansing and Washington for Consumers Energy.
