ROCHESTER HILLS ? gedas USA said it has won a major contract with BorgWarner to upgrade the auto suppliers? IT systems at its Thermal Systems business unit, which will create a global technology platform for BorgWarner in the United States and Germany. No dollar figure was provided.

gedas USA will install its gExpress for Automotive Suppliers system at BorgWarner and consolidate multiple ERP systems – business processes in finance, controls, production planning, materials management, sales and distribution – into a single SAP platform. The project is expected to take two years.

The goal of the project is to help BorgWarner get more efficient, reduce costs and establish common standards for its manufacturing plants and supply chain across the company worldwide, beginning in Germany and the United States. gedas has done similar work for BorgWarner in Europe and China.
