MIDLAND ? Four long-time entrepreneurs were honored Wednesday night at a minor league baseball park in downtown Midland during a networking event co hosted by the MidMichigan Innovation Center, and The Dow Chemical Company.

The evening event, at the Dow Diamond, home of the minor league Loons, was called MidMichigan Innovators: Heading for the Big Leagues. It featured more than 40 exhibitors, and some 250 participants.

Senior entrepreneurs receiving awards include:

Arnold Allemang ? retired, The Dow Chemical Co.

John Bartos ? Three Rivers Corp.

Cal Goeders ? Caltech Indusries Inc.

Charles Fitzpatrick ? CMU LaBelle Entrepreneurial Center

Each was presented with a plaque inscribed with the words: “In recognition of your innovation and leadership, which has significantly enhanced the entrepreneurial environment in the mid-Michigan region.”

“These individuals embody the spirit of entrepreneurship in how they do business, how they support and encourage others, and in how they are inspirations to out region,” said Brent Case, executive director of the MidMichigan Innovation Center. “We are thrilled to recognize and honor them this evening.”
