SOUTHFIELD.? The Engineering Society of Detroit has added three top professionals to its staff. Kevin Miller joined ESD as Director of Membership; Timothy D. Walker joined as Director of Programs; and Ramona Spencer joined as a Meetings Manager.

Miller comes to the Society with nearly 30 years of association management experience with an emphasis on membership. He comes to ESD from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ? Michigan Chapter, where he worked developing successful fundraising campaigns. Miller also worked for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) for over 20 years in the areas of membership, event planning, international and government affairs, and as managing director of SME?s Washington D.C. office.

Walker, a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), has nearly 15 years of experience in event and conference management. He joins ESD from the Kalamazoo County Convention and Visitors Bureau where he was sales manager, responsible for annual marketing, budgets and extensive project management.

Spencer comes to the Society from DaimlerChrysler where she worked in the corporate meeting planning department. Her projects included executive training and media events, for clients such as the Mitsubishi and DaimlerChrysler Minority Dealers Association and Mercedes-Benz Credit.

Founded in 1895, ESD units the engineering, scientific and allied professions to enhance professional development and foster excitement in math and science.
