SOUTHFIELD – The Engineering Society of Detroit is returning to Hockeytown again this year to celebrate the Red Wings’ Stanley Cup championship and kick off the holiday season in style with a Holiday party not to be missed.
On December 3, from 6-9 pm there also will be a personal appearance and book signing
by Red Wings Champion, Joe Kocur, who will sign copies of his new book, The Bruise Brothers. .
Whether you have imagined yourself a member of the �??Production Line�?� or the �??Grind Line,�?� the home of the Stanley Cup Champions will have you feeling like a star. Have your family photo taken with Santa. Then, kick back in the Olympia Room just like your favorite heavy-hitting team owners and enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while you meet up with friends or make new acquaintances.
Also, for the first time, this year’s holiday party will feature a silent auction, with proceeds going to support ESD�??s programs for kids. Auction items include a Detroit Pistons suite package and a two-night getaway and wine tour in Napa Valley. Plan your post-holiday retreat or pick up a last-minute gift all while supporting terrific programs.
Award-winning author John Tocco will be there to sign copies of his new children�??s book, The Christmas Eve Journey of Mrs. Claus. The book is free. Those who are interested in skating are encouraged to bring their own skates. Cost: $35 for ESD members; $50 for nonmembers; $12 for students; $12 for kids 13-17 and free for kids 12 & under. This event is open to the general public.
