DETROIT ? The deadline to nominate any company for the Telematics Award, to be given in May during TelematicsDetroit, is March 4, as is the deadline for anyone interested in the early bird registration special.
Nominations are open in 10 categories. They include:

Best Telematics Terminal/Embedded Product
Best Portable/Handheld Telematics Product
Best Telematics Navigation Product
Best Aftermarket Device
Best Telematics Solution
Best Consumer Vehicle Application
Best Commercial Vehicle Application
Best Use of Telematics For Safety and Security
Best Reseller of Telematics

Anita Yaa Agyeman. ?Just go to the TelematicsDetroit web site, click through to the awards page and load your information there.?
The deadline is 8 p.m. EST March 4.
Last year 150 nominations were made for the 10 awards. Agyeman said she expects at least that many entries again this year.
?What gets the most questions are the hand held portable and navigation,?? she said. ?They will be the most fiercely contested.?
Agyeman also said attending the two day event, in Livonia this year instead of downtown Detroit, will be beneficial for anyone involved in merging wireless devices into cars and trucks.
