TROY – Seems like everyone has a website these days. Politicians are no exception. National Public Radio Government Affairs Correspondent Rick Pluta will moderate a panel discussion with some of Michigan’s most well known bloggers, campaign managers and media specialists to study the political effects of web-enabled technologies, and what it means to Michigan’s candidates in 2008.

Kelly Rossman McKinney is Chief Executive Officer of The Rossman Group, one of Michigan?s most innovative and effective public relations firms. She was recently named ?most effective public relations professional? by her peers, and has been recognized consistently as one of Michigan?s most influential women. She has held various jobs in the Office of the Governor and at the state departments of Commerce and Labor, and is a former associate producer of TV programs at Channels 4 and 50 in Detroit.
Dan Wholihan is the founder of the Republican Michigander blog, and of Republican Michigander Consulting, LLC, a political consulting company. He is the former Lincoln Club treasurer in the Livingston County Republican Party and the former treasurer for the Concerned Taxpayers’ Group of Livingston County.
He remains an active member of the Shooters’ Alliance for Firearms Rights, a non-partisan Michigan based 2nd Amendment organization. He is a former member of the Livingston County Republican Executive Committee and currently studies law at Ave Maria Law School in Ann Arbor.
Julielyn Gibbons, aka Liberal Lucy, (from michiganliberal.com, the most widely-read state political blog) is a veteran of the online industry, and is currently the Online Campaign Coordinator at Progress Michigan and the Outreach Director for Progressive Michigan Blogosphere.
She was the past Internet Outreach Director of the Michigan Democratic Party, and is nationally recognized as an online political organizer, speaker, and political blogger. She has been active in online advocacy since 2001 on federal, state and local levels.
