DETROIT – Business software and services provider Compuware Corp. said its fiscal fourth-quarter profit declined as revenue dropped sharply.
For the three months ended March 31, the company earned $48.4 million, or 20 cents per share, down 21 percent from $61.2 million, or 23 cents per share, in the same period a year earlier.
Revenue fell 25 percent to $253.4 million from $338.9 million.
Compuware also cut its operating expenses by 28 percent to $195.7 million.
For the full year, the company earned $139.6 million, or 55 cents per share, compared with a profit of $134.4 million, or 47 cents per share, a year earlier. Compuware had fewer outstanding shares in the latest fiscal year, which boosted per-share results for both the quarter and the full year.
