SOUTHFIELD – Computer Associates International announced that Al Salerno has joined the corporation as Account Director Manager and will attempt to increase sales of CA?s business management software products to automotive OEMs and suppliers.
Salerno will be managing a dedicated team of Global Automotive Account Directors, with responsibility for General Motors, Ford, Daimler-Chrysler, Lear, Visteon and many other major automotive accounts. He reports to Mark Shantz, CA?s Michigan Operations and Sales Manager.

Salerno brings over 25 years of experience in information technology development, innovation and sales in the automotive industry to CA. He founded Salerno Manufacturing Systems and led the company for 17 years, as it focused on manufacturing software applications for the automotive, electronics and aerospace industries. He sold the company to PeopleSoft in 1997.
