ANN ARBOR – A number of leading organizations with the common goal of building Michigan’s new economy are partnering for the Seventh Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship scheduled for 5 pm. January 18 at Washtenaw Community College’s Morris Lawrence Building.
Each year?s ACE event draws hundreds of attendees from across the state. The event features a Showcase Presentation from a company seeking venture capital funding, and a unique competition where six people present three-minute ?elevator speeches? to a panel of venture capitalists and angel investors. The winning elevator pitch presenter will receive membership to all ACE partner organizations.
In addition, this year?s event will include the presentation of the Great Lakes Entrepreneur?s Quest Phase I Awards for the GLEQ Business Plan Competition. The top new Emerging Company will receive $5000, and the top New Business Idea will receive $1000.
Two break-out panel discussions will round out the evening?s agenda; one of which will be a video presentation by author Geoffrey Moore followed by a panel discussion. An Entrepreneur?s Exhibit Hall of more than 20 entrepreneurs and about a dozen supporting organizations will be available for attendees to browse, learn, and network. Refreshments will be served during the networking portions of the event.
Admission is free pre-registered attendees, thanks to support from the Great Lakes Entrepreneur?s Quest. Registration the night of the event is $25.
