Butzel Long Tax Seminar: Responding To The Economic Downturn

DETROIT – The Butzel Long Taxation and Succession Planning Institute is hosting a half-day seminar June 4 designed for tax practitioners. The program will focus on Responding to the Challenges in the Economic Downturn.

The half-day seminar will take place from 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 4 at the Troy Marriott at 200 West Big Beaver in Troy. The registration fee is $100 per person. Michigan certified public accountants (CPA) are eligible for five CPE credits. Financial planners are eligible for five CE credits.

The moderator for the seminar is John J. Raymond, Jr., of Butzel Long�??s Business, Tax and Succession Planning practice groups. Topics that will be discussed include: a Legislative Update, Debt Workouts and Troubled Company Transactions, The Reinvented New Preparer Penalties, More on the New Form 990, Asset Conversion Opportunities, Selected MBT topics, and Upside Down Property in Estate Administration.
