Bernero Concedes To Snyder In Michigan Governor’s Race

LANSING – Saying “it wasn’t our time,” Democratic candidate Virg Bernero has conceded defeat in the race for governor to Republican Rick Snyder.

Speaking to his supporters, Bernero said he had congratulated Snyder on his victory. With 82 percent of the precincts reporting, Snyder held a 58-39 margin over Bernero.

Bernero said he would always be would be proud of the fight he and his supporters showed during the election. And he said he would support Mr. Snyder as he made the transition to being governor.
