ANN ARBOR – Nominations are open for the Governor?s University – Award for Commercialization Excellence (ACE) ? an annual recognition designed to inspire and reward a public university researcher and key team members whose research advances the development and commercialization of new technologies into viable products and services that benefit the local, state, and national economies and contributes to the improvement of the overall quality of life in Michigan.
The Governor?s University-ACE honors technologies developed by faculty and staff who are employed by the 15 public universities in Michigan. Members of the selection committee are drawn from both public and private sectors. Winners are determined on the basis of submitted materials and additional interviews, if deemed necessary.
Nominations: Lead Researchers can be nominated by internal colleagues, external partners or can be self-nominated. Application forms for the Governor?s University-ACE are located on the website of the Presidents Council, State Universities of Michigan (www.pcsum.org) Nomination Procedures: Submission deadline is noon April 1. Award Ceremony will take place June 15 at the Michigan Growth Capital Symposium in Ann Arbor (www.michigangcs.com).
