TROY ? Automation Alley elected six new board members Tuesday at its annual meeting at the Troy Marriott, while Alley officials outlined what they said was a bright future for the Southeast Michigan technology marketing alliance.
Newly elected board members include:

?Our board of directors includes some of Southeast Michigan?s most experienced, influential and hard working professionals,?? said Automation Alley Executive Director Ken Rogers. ?The continued support of the region?s technology, business and educational communities, as represented by our board, is a testament to the strength of Automation Alley and its members.?
Rogers also announced that the state has committed some $6.6 million in funding to support Automation Alley in 2006, money that will come from the 21st Century Jobs Fund. Some of the money will go to Automation Alley?s membership group, called glima, to help glima add more chapters not only in Michigan, but beyond.
