ANN ARBOR – Arboretum Ventures has been named one of the top 100 venture capital funds for entrepreneurs by Entrepreneur magazine.
This honor is shared with other notable venture funds, including Kleiner
Perkins and Sequoia Capital. The list was developed based on data collected by
MoneyTree Report from Pricewaterhouse Coopers and the National Venture Capital Association.
The rankings are based on the number of first-time fundings to companies
in startup and early stages of development made by VC firms in 2006. Nearly 800 startup and early stage companies were funded in 2006, an increase over the 608 companies funded in 2005. On average, each of the 2006 companies received $4.1 million in funding.
