GRAND RAPIDS Despite losing money in the second quarter, Internet advertising specialist Adtegrity.Com founder Scott Brew contends the Internet advertising market has finally come back strong after two down years.
Were seeing evidence, however, Internet advertising is becoming a mature business model now and its more difficult to maintain a high growth atmosphere, Brew said. But the Internet advertising market is strong. Its back.
For the record, Adtegrity.Com reported a net loss of $74,989 on net revenues of $1.3 million for the second quarter, compared with net income of $138,527 on net revenues of $1.2 million for the same three months a year ago. Adtegrity.com said the net loss for the quarter was the direct result of a one-time $175,000 expense for stock compensation following the close-out of an employee stock plan instituted two years ago.
Seasonality plans a role in revenues and profits, Brew said. Ad budgets tend to be stronger in the first quarter than in the second and third. The fourth quarter remains advertising best three months of the year.
Brew said Adtegrity.Com delivered about 2 billion ads in the second quarter, and should deliver 3 billion in the third quarter ended Sept. 30.
We are seeing new clients every month, he said. A lot of ad budgets are spent over a month or two then come back when a new product is launching.
Adtegrity.Com also continues to grow. Brew said the company hired experienced sales professionals in New York and Chicago, plus added critical depth in areas of publisher relations and development. The company continued to expand into sites within its Womens and Technology advertising network.
